Are you working in busy in-store laboratory, where a talented team of lab technicians produce glasses to the highest possible standards? As a lab technician you will be very much part of the and an integral part of the overall customer experience.
Working as a Lab Technician – with the best possible equipment and latest technology, you will be using the latest computer-controlled equipment, and it’s with the best technology you will be the best and produce your best work – cutting lenses and fitting them into frames – to the highest standards. It’s about providing an excellent service – seeing the end product, one day you could be repairing spectacles, the next, you could be glazing and tinting single-vision lenses.
For this role, we expect you to have at least 2 years Optical Lab experience. Most importantly, you’ll be technically minded with a fantastic eye for detail, getting involved with the calibration of machinery! You’ll be learning all the time and building your knowledge with the help of your expert colleagues. It also offers many opportunities for career development and, to keep you up to date with latest technical advances, ongoing training.
You should also be good with people and able to work as part of a team. You’ll be friendly and organised too, presenting a professional image to customers at all times. Above all, you’ll have previous experience as a Lab Technician, and be ready to learn more.
Salary, £25K – £28K + Bonus
