Optical Assistant Dispenser – Rayleigh
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Optical Assistant Dispenser (minimum 2-3 years’ experience) to join a thriving optical practice in Rayleigh. You will play a key role in the smooth running of the branch, ensuring an exceptional patient experience while handling a variety of daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinic Support – Running clinics, greeting patients, booking and confirming appointments, ensuring NHS forms are completed accurately.
- Dispensing Expertise – Assisting with frame selection, dispensing single, bifocal, and varifocal lenses, and providing expert guidance to patients.
- Patient Care – Conducting pre-screening tests, contact lens teaches, and offering tailored advice to meet individual needs.
- Administration & Organization – Managing general admin tasks, maintaining an efficient workflow, and supporting the team in delivering excellent service.
- Customer Engagement – Creating a welcoming environment, handling challenging situations with confidence, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable patient journey.
- Leadership & Initiative – Leading from the front, demonstrating professionalism, and steering patients and colleagues in the right direction.
